Veteran wide receiver Greg Jennings on Monday announced his retirement from the NFL after 10 seasons.

In a video posted on the FamiLeague channel on YouTube, Jennings said he was "done" with football and is "excited to be done."

"The past 20 years of my life has been football, but today that all changes," he says in the video.

"This smile is not going to be removed -- it's going to be enhanced. The same dedication, the same work ethic that I put into pursuing that sport, this game, I'll be pursuing everything else with the same mindset," he said.

Jennings, 32, said, "physically I know I can do it, I can still play ... but I feel like as though I would be going back to football instead of moving forward."

He ends the video by saying, "I'm done, but I'm just getting started. Let's do it."

Jennings had a quiet season in 2015 with just 19 receptions for 208 yards and one touchdown -- the 64th of his career -- in his only season with the Miami Dolphins.

He signed with the Dolphins last year following his release from the Minnesota Vikings, who cut ties with him after just two seasons. He had signed with Minnesota in 2013 (a five-year, $45 million deal), saying he wanted a fresh start after playing his first seven seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

But after playing with four different starting quarterbacks in his two seasons in Minnesota, Jennings caught just 127 passes for 1,546 yards and 10 touchdowns.

In seven seasons with the Packers after being selected in the second round of the 2006 draft (52nd overall), Jennings caught 425 passes for 6,537 yards and 53 touchdowns.

He was selected to the Pro Bowl twice and finishes his career with571 yards for8,291 yards and 64 touchdowns.
