CHICAGO -- Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly is one of eight former NFL players scheduled to be in Chicago on May 1 to announce a pick in either the second or third round of the NFL draft, the league announced Tuesday.

Kelly will announce one of the second-day selections for the Buffalo Bills, the team for which he played his entire 11-year NFL career. He guided the Bills to four consecutive AFC championships (1990-93). Kelly battled cancer in recent years but has continued to represent the Bills by making several public appearances in support of the franchise.

Kelly is one of two Hall of Famers and one future member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame confirmed to attend the event.

Joining Kelly in Chicago: Hall of Fame linebacker Dick Butkus (Chicago Bears); defensive end Charles Haley (San Francisco 49ers), who is a member of the 2015 class; five-time Pro Bowl defensive back Darren Woodson (Dallas Cowboys); four-time Pro Bowl linebacker Chris Spielman (Detroit Lions); former All-Pro running back Ickey Woods (Cincinnati Bengals); five-time Pro Bowl defensive back Ty Law (New England Patriots); and four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Donald Driver (Green Bay Packers).

The NFL is expected to add more former NFL legends to the list at a later date.
