COLUMBIA, Mo. -- A football player and a women's basketball player from the University of Missouri were injured after their car flipped in Columbia on Sunday afternoon.
Harold Brantley, a defensive lineman, remained in serious condition at University of Missouri Hospital on Monday morning. The hospital could not provide details of his injuries.
Madeleine Stock, a women's basketball player, suffered minor injuries and was released Sunday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol report says Brantley overcorrected after driving off the left side of U.S. Route 63. The car then slid off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail and overturned. The patrol says Brantley and Stock weren't wearing seatbelts.
