San Jose Earthquakes captain Chris Wondolowski was ecstatic after a 93rd-minute goal earned his side a 3-2 victory over Minnesota United and a Knockout Round match in Vancouver.

Wondolowski created the crucial goal, which saw FC Dallas deposed from the sixth and final spot in the Western Conference playoff field, for late substitute Marco Urena.

And speaking after the Decision Day drama, he told the official MLS website: "I could shout from the mountaintops right now.

"This game was an epitome of the season for us, in the sense where we've had some ultimate highs and some lows where you're reeling.

"It's a [time to] look in the mirror and see what you're made of. And our guys showed up."

Costa Rica international Urena, who had only entered the action in the 88th minute, said: "I've played a lot of really important games in my life, and games like today are the games I like to be part of.

"In those important moments, when all the players want to score, God chooses me, I always say.

"It's good to be part of the Quakes and do that for them, because that's why they bring me here."
