SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- With both Super Bowl teams having finished their first day of practice before the big game, fans gathered as players meet the media at an opening night event at the SAP Center in San Jose on Monday.
It's a chance for the players to greet the media - and for the first time, fans are being allowed to sit in.

Even though the event is not designed to give fans direct access to players or to get autographs, thousands turned out in hopes of crossing paths players.
