Forward Draymond Green sat out the Golden State Warriors' 115-102 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves as a precaution Saturday, one night after he injured his left ankle at Los Angeles.

An MRI exam on his bruised ankle Saturday showed no serious damage, but coach Steve Kerr chose to play it safe with Green at this early stage.

Guard Ian Clark also was sidelined after he and Green had a scary collision under the basket in the third quarter of the win over the Lakers.

Kerr was hopeful that both would be ready to return for Monday's home game against Atlanta.

Green seemed to be walking well through the locker room and said, "I'll be all right.''

He didn't fight Kerr about playing when they exchanged text messages earlier in the day.

Kevon Looney was set to start in Green's place.
