Warriors' Stephen Curry says elbow is 'fine'

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, three days after landing on his right elbow, said Saturday that he'll be "fine" for Game 3 of the Western Conference finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

"I'll be fine," Curry said after practice. "I've got stuff to deal with, but so does everybody else, so I'm fine."

Curry injured the elbow in the second quarter of Game 2 on Wednesday, when he launched himself into the stands in pursuit of a loose ball. The reigning two-time MVP said the elbow swelled to the size of a "tennis ball"during the game.

Despite the swelling, Curry went on to score 15 points in a two-minute span of the third quarter in what became a 118-91 Golden State victory.

Curry declared himself "fine" after Friday's practice, when he wore a compression sleeve on the elbow. He did not wear the sleeve during practice Saturday in Oklahoma City.

Although the swelling and pain in the elbow have gone down, Curry's right knee remains a source of discomfort. He sprained his MCL in Game 4 of the first round against the Houston Rockets and returned to action in Game 4 of the second round against the Portland Trail Blazers. Curry said there wasn't a lot of swelling in the knee.

"I mean, there's no time really in between games to gain a lot of ground, when it comes to rehab and recovery and all that," Curry said Saturday. "When you play, playoff intensity, ever since I been back, there's the grind of it. When I'm out there, I'm not thinking about it. I do it feel it the next day after every game. Like I said, you can poll most guys in the league, in these final four teams, most have things they got to deal with, so I'm in that boat."
