SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- For those who fly into the heart of tech country, the first thing they see could be decidedly high-tech.
The newest customer service agents at Mineta San Jose International Airport can stand all day without getting tired and don't even need a lunch break. It was an unusual hiring process but the San Jose Airport announced a trio of robots will be joining the team.
Made by the South Korean firm Future Robot, the machines are brimming with personality. Their animated faces come from years of market research. Eventually, the robots may respond to speech, but for now, their makers find people prefer a giant touch screen. Watch the video above for Jonathan Bloom's full report.
