San Francisco is fourth most expensive tourist destination

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco boasts some of the highest rents and home prices but it's not America's most expensive tourist destination.

Trip Advisor ranked San Francisco fourth when it comes to the cost of a three-night stay, meals and daily activities. The average cost is just over $1,900.

As for the most expensive city, Seattle topped out at a little more than $2,000. Honolulu and Boston also cost more than San Francisco.

Dallas tops the list of the least expensive places to visit at $1,171.
