PACIFICA, Calif. (KGO) -- The warm weather coming this weekend could attract a lot of people to the California coastline, but they'll need to watch out for dangerous, large waves.
Temperatures are expected to reach into the 70s in some areas and could break records.
There is a high surf advisory from Sonoma County to the Big Sur coastline in effect through the weekend. So you can expect frequent conditions in which two sets of waves stack up to form one huge rogue wave.
Sneaker waves are possible and can catch people off guard. People are advised to stand back from the waves and never turn your back to the ocean.
