SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A High Surf Advisory remains in effect for the Bay Area coastline until 3 p.m. Sunday because of a storm developing in the Pacific Ocean. That could spell trouble as people flock to the beaches to enjoy the record warm January weather we are experiencing.
Huge waves were seen at Ocean Beach in San Francisco Saturday. The Coast Guard patrolled the area to make sure beach goers were safe.
The High-Surf Advisory was issued along the coast from Sonoma County to Big Sur.
Beach goers are being told to be careful as sneaker waves can stack up in these conditions, making them extra dangerous.
