ABC7 News Meteorologist Mike Nicco say we will get a break from the wet weather Friday before a new storm system moves in on Saturday in time for Christmas weekend.
"A big travel weekend is coming and we have an Atmospheric River on the way," said ABC7 News Meteorologist Mike Nicco.

Nicco's AccuWeather forecast shows the entire Bay Area will get soaked with two consecutive days of rain.
On Saturday, the Bay Area will be hit with a 1 on the Storm Impact Scale, followed by a 2 on the Storm Impact Scale on Sunday.
"We have a pretty impressive storm on Sunday," said Nicco. "Expect light to moderate rain with some embedded downpours, breezy conditions and standing water Sunday morning."
The rain will taper into showers Sunday afternoon.
Nicco says the Atmospheric River event could bring more than an inch of rain to some cities, including Half Moon Bay.

"If you are worried about traveling next week, especially as we get closer to Christmas, Monday and Tuesday look pretty good," said Nicco. "If you are attending services late Christmas Eve -- it could be raining by the time you get out."
Rain is developing for December 25.
"It's going to rain for a better part of Christmas Day, but then it will start to taper as we head into Thursday. If you are traveling that day -- you should be ok," said Nicco.
