Suspect in East Bay crash that killed mother, twin boy in court Wednesday

RODEO, Calif. (KGO) -- The man suspected of killing a 6-year-old boy and his mother in a crash will be arraigned in court on Wednesday.

Authorities say 20-year-old Ralph White III was leading police on a chase on I-80 in Rodeo, after he stole a car.

That's when he reportedly hit another car, which carried the mother and her two twin boys.

The mom died in that crash and the twins were taken to the hospital with injuries but one of the boys, who was in critical condition, later died.

White, who also ran from the scene and was later found and arrested at a nearby liquor store, is expected in court Wednesday for his arraignment.

He has been charged with vehicular manslaughter, possession of a stolen vehicle, and three counts of pursuit causing death or great bodily injury.
