MORE: 7 dead, 1 critically injured after shootings at 2 farms in Half Moon Bay; suspect in custody
The suspect has been identified by the San Mateo County sheriff as 67-year-old Chunli Zhao.
ABC7 News confirmed that the suspect was an employee at one of the mushroom farms where the shooting took place, and all victims were co-workers.
Zhao was arrested after being found in his vehicle in the parking lot of the Sheriff's Office Half Moon Bay police substation. He was taken into custody without incident and a weapon was located in his vehicle, the sheriff said. Zhao is believed to have acted alone.
