OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Police announced Friday that two suspects have been arrested in the fatal shooting of 52-year-old Uber driver Kon "Patrick" Fung in Oakland's Little Saigon on July 17.

Major Willis has been charged with murder and attempted carjacking, according to the Alameda County District Attorney's Office.

The second suspect, a juvenile, has been charged in Juvenile Court.

Fung was waiting in his car in the 2000 block of 13th Avenue when he was approached by two people, who ordered him out of his car. When he did not, a shot was fired, hitting Fung. He died from his injuries.

In wake of these arrests, Fung's fiancé spoke with ABC7 News about her relief that the suspects are off the streets.

"I feel a little comfortable because now the two killers were arrested," Judy said.

In the aftermath of the Fung's murder, the Oakland Chinatown Improvement Council helped set up a GoFundMe for Judy and the rest of Fung's family.

It's now raised over $100,000.

A milestone the group attributes to people being able to relate to the type of person Fung was.

"He was hardworking, he took care of his family, and he was going to get married soon," said Carol Liao, of the Oakland Chinatown Improvement Council.

The council has been in touch with Judy nearly every day since the shooting.

They say as crimes against the AAPI community have risen in recent years, they've become more determined to stand up for their community and help people like Judy.

"We are different. Asians are different now. We are more likely to stand up to be anti-crime," Liao said.

OPD's investigation into the incident is still ongoing, as they continue to look for more possible suspects.

But for those that they have already caught, Judy says she hopes they're held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
