The boy's name is Navaun Jackson. The shooting happened yesterday afternoon inside a home on Ritchie Street near Bancroft Avenue.

Officers took a man and woman into custody. The man has been arrested; the woman was released pending further investigation. There is no word on their relationship to the boy.
Family members say Navaun was playing when he found the unlocked gun under a bed.
Navaun does not live at the house.
