Organizers of the music festival were enjoying the calm before the storm. "We're sitting here ten years later and we're just pinching ourselves -- it's grown every year," said one organizer.
It's grown from roughly 130,000 people to 210,000 expected over the next three days.
Outside Lands is one of the most successful art and music festivals in the country. Half of the people attending will be from the Bay Area and the other 50 percent from all over the world.

"it's only three days of music, but we prepare for this year-round and so we're ready," said another organizer.
More than 80 restaurants, 41 wineries, and 30 breweries will serve people at the festival. Over 91 percent of the waste will be composted or recycled.
Four stages throughout the park will have music for every age group.
"The audience in the Bay Area and people who are coming to the Bay Area are very discerning and they have a lot of expectations and we hope to deliver," said Allen Scott of Another Planet Entertainment.
Transportation-wise public transit is the best way to get to and from the festival. Muni will have extra buses as well as shuttles.

Lyft and Uber will have a designated drop off and pick up area at Washington High School in the Richmond District.
"Remember that Golden Gate Park is in the middle of a city and that's what makes it amazing," said Phil Ginsburg of the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department. "We have neighborhoods on either side of the park. Be respectful of our neighbors."
