WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (KGO) -- Walnut Creek's hottest new restaurant is set to reopen Wednesday after a late-night kitchen fire cut its opening weekend short.

According to the East Bay Times, Original Joe's will welcome customers again, after having to close its doors due to an overnight kitchen fire on August 14.

A wall inside the back of the restaurant suffered some smoke damage, but thankfully, there was no major damage or injuries.

The restaurant had opened less than a week prior to the fire in August.

Restaurant staff say reservations are available on a "limited basis."

The Original Joe's sign that's in the bar area at the Walnut Creek restaurant is from the first location that opened in San Francisco's Tenderloin in 1937.

There are several other Original Joe's locations around the Bay Area.
