SF Interim Police Chief Paul Yep not seeking permanent role, report says

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The interim leader of San Francisco's police department isn't looking to stay in the job permanently.

Paul Yep, who would have been a top candidate, has been in charge of SFPD since former chief, Bill Scott, left. However, he tells the San Francisco Chronicle he's not applying for the full-time role.

The headhunting firm in charge of finding a new chief says it has received applications from 34 other people.
