CASTRO VALLEY, Calif. (KGO) -- A 3.1-magnitude earthquake was reported near Castro Valley, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was reported just before noon and was centered in an area about one mile northwest of Castro Valley, USGS officials said.
No damage or injuries were immediately reported.
