Woman critically injured in SF Tenderloin after being struck by garbage truck, police say

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A Recology garbage truck struck and injured a woman who was in an alley in San Francisco's Tenderloin District Friday morning, police said.

First responders said the woman was critically injured in an alleyway near the intersection of Ellis and Jones Streets as the Recology truck was doing collections.

Recology said it's working with authorities to determine what exactly happened.
