4 SF police officers injured in crash following vehicle pursuit, authorities say

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Four San Francisco police officers were injured after a crash during a police chase Friday night, according to authorities.

The crash happened just after 10:30 p.m. at 3rd St. and Cesar Chavez as officers tried to pull over a suspect in a wanted vehicle.

Police say the driver did not stop and that's when the pursuit started.

The chase came to an end when the vehicles crashed. Video from the scene showed the mangled patrol car and another vehicle flipped on its side.

The SUV appears to be a government vehicle.

The four officers were taken to an area hospital, authorities said. Police said their conditions are considered not life-threatening.



The driver of the wanted vehicle was arrested.
