PG&E says there are more than 1,000 customers without power in the Los Altos Hills. It was really dangerous overnight, with trees and power lines coming down.
Winds were howling, reaching 72 miles per hour in westside Los Altos Hills, rattling residents. "Oh my gosh, the wind was howling like crazy. The windows were shuttering and it felt like one of the trees was going to go through our apartment window," Los Altos resident Laurie Kurgas said.

PG&E is now scrambling to get power back on across the Bay Area and their poles and lines fixed.

A lot of debris came down overnight, falling onto the roads. "As you can see from the stuff on the driveway a lot of stuff blew down but we didn't lose any big things," Los Altos resident Troy Douthit said.
