Caltrans to close San Mateo Bridge May 8 - 11 for repairs

HAYWARD, Calif. (KGO) -- Caltrans will close the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge for two weekends in May 2015: May 8 - 11 and Memorial Day Weekend, May 22 - 25.

Full closures for all east and westbound lanes will begin at 10:00 pm on Friday the 8th and continue until 5:00 am on Monday the 11th. Crews will be resurfacing the entire span of the bridge and replacing expansion joints. Motorists can use the Dumbarton Bridge, San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, or the southern route along CA-237 as alternate routes during these closures.
