The Cedar Hill Police Department in Texas created this hilarious parody of Matthew McConaughey's brooding Lincoln commercials to give residents an amusing peek into the mind of an officer patrolling the city at night.
As he drives, he wonders why he became a cop, his voice mimicking McConaughey's.
"You don't get into police work because it makes sense," he says. "You do it because you thought it looked really cool on TV."
At the end, we discover he hasn't been alone all this time. He has a suspect in custody, though he's so lost in thought he can't remember him.
"Whose prisoner is this? And why is he in my squad?"
Cops and non-cops alike are praising the spoof on social media. It already has more than 600,000 views on Facebook.
This video has yet to gain the same popularity as the Taylor Swift lip-synching cop, which has more than 30 million views on YouTube, but it's holding its own. The department posted it as a 'thank you' after reaching 4,000 Facebook likes, but since posting it the department has gotten thousands more likes.
