Hillary Clinton watch party held in San Francisco
Bay Area Democrats watched Hillary Clinton's acceptance speech closely Thursday night.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Bay Area Democrats watched Hillary Clinton's acceptance speech closely Thursday night.

There was plenty of applause for Clinton at the Holiday Inn on Van Ness in San Francisco as people gathered to watch her historic speech at the Democratic National Convention.

Hillary Clinton made history after becoming the first woman in U.S. history to officially accept the nomination for president saying: "My friends it's with humility, determination and boundless confidence in America's promise that I accept your nomination."

Several times she took dead aim at Donald Trump. "A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man you can trust with nuclear weapons," Clinton said.
