Four months of distance learning has taken its toll on students at McClymonds High School in Oakland.

Hopes of playing a football season continue to fade with the rise of COVID-19 cases in the Bay Area.

That prompted the California Interscholastic Federation to once again delay the start of training for fall sports, which were scheduled to begin on December 14, until at least January.

On the latest episode of our continuing series "Mack - A Pandemic School Story", we check in on a student athlete pondering his future without football as he fills out college applications and we look at the emotional toll online classes has had on a freshman student who recently moved to the Oakland area.
