Maria Rangel is accused of taking part in a Michael Kors purse heist at The Woodlands Mall.

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Deputies say a hit and run driver involved in a crash at The Woodlands Mall was found with 15 stolen Michael Kors purses inside her car.

Maria Rangel is facing charges for felony possession of stolen property as well as failure to stop and give information.

Deputies say Rangel, 26, was caught on surveillance cameras at Macy's stealing the purses with two other accomplices before getting into a wreck on Lake Woodlands Drive.

The 15 purses had a value of $4,700, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

Rangel was taken into custody. Two other suspects have warrants out for their arrest, but deputies have not released their names.
