Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, the San Jose-based software company Adobe announced expanded paid time off for new parents.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Add Adobe to the list of U.S. companies giving more time off to new parents.

Monday, the San Jose-based software company announced it will offer 26 weeks of paid time off for new moms and 16 weeks off for new dads.

It will also give 16 weeks of paid time leave to employees who become parents via adoption, surrogacy or foster care.

Adobe's announcement follows similar moves from Netflix and Microsoft last week.
