SAN FRANCISCO -- A water main break has flooded several homes and some streets this morning in San Francisco's Bayview District.

San Francisco Public Utilities Commission spokesman Tyrone Jue said the break occurred around midnight in the area of Key Avenue and Keith Street.

He said the cause of the break in the 12-inch pipe is still unknown.

Crews have shut off the water flow to the pipe.

Jue said several homes and nearby streets were flooded.

San Francisco fire and police departments are also on the scene.

Jue said several customers are currently without service, but the number of customers affected wasn't immediately available.
