At least 11 victims have been reported in an active shooter situation in Midland, Texas, on Friday morning, with at least one person dead, according to Midland Mayor Lori Blong.
Midland police said responding officers heard gunfire coming from a building on West Wall Street.
"Armored units were deployed, and partner agencies assisted in the response. Efforts to bring the standoff with the shooter to a safe resolution are ongoing," Midland city officials said in a social media post.
