

HAYWARD, Calif. (KGO) -- A 3-month-old Hayward infant and mother were found in Los Angeles hours after an Amber Alert was issued Wednesday morning for a possible abduction.
The California Highway Patrol has deactivated the alert after the two were located.
Police say the mother has been taken into custody and the child will be reunited with the father.
The Alert spanned across parts of Northern and Southern California. It was issued on behalf of the Hayward Police Department for Alameda, San Joaquin, Kern and Los Angeles counties.
