At least 10 people sent to hospital during 'The Chainsmokers' concert in San Jose, authorities say

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- At least 10 people were sent to the hospital Friday night during a concert in San Jose where popular electronic duo "The Chainsmokers" were performing.

Authorities said several people are recovering from alcohol or drug problems that took place at Discovery Meadow.

The San Jose Fire Department first responded to multiple calls of more than a dozen patients requiring medical attention around 8:23 p.m.

Police said Friday night, paramedics treated some people at the park, but at least 10 were taken to the hospital.

SJFD said in a Saturday morning tweet on X, fourteen people were taken to a local hospital.

The concert began at 5 p.m. and by 10:34 p.m., SJFD said the incident wrapped up.
