
OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Two Oakland police officers are on administrative leave after shooting and killing a man Monday afternoon.
It happened close to a shopping center on International Boulevard near 40th Avenue.

Oakland police responded after they say California Highway Patrol officers requested their help, just after 2 p.m.
The CHP has not said yet why they were pursuing the man.
But police say he was armed, refused their commands, and lunged at officers with a weapon.
