

SONOMA COUNTY, Calif. -- Salt Point State Park in Sonoma County is being evacuated and a portion of state Highway 1 is closed Thursday due to a wildfire burning in Timber Cove.
The 50-acre fire was first reported around 1:45 p.m and is burning in the 24000 block of Highway 1 in Timber Cove, according to Cal Fire.
The blaze is being bolstered by heavy timber and is being wind-driven, Cal Fire said.
Highway 1 is closed between Stewarts Point-Skaggs Springs Road and Timber Cover Road due to the blaze, according to Cal Fire.
An evacuation order has been issued for the following area:
Zone 1D1 - Salt Point State Park and Timber Cove
An evacuation warning has been issued in the following area:
Zone 1D2 - Northwest of Cazadero
