The second game of the 2026 NFL season produced something of a stunner, with the Los Angeles Rams falling to the San Francisco 49ers 27-7, the biggest loss for a preseason Super Bowl favorite in its opener on record. In turn, the Rams moved from +500 to +600 on the championship odds board, while the Niners made a big jump from 19-1 to 14-1.

The result also had implications for the NFC West rival and defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, who got their own opening night win over the New England Patriots (19-1). That victory shortened Seattle from 12-1 to 11-1 for the title, and the line moved further to +1050 following L.A.'s loss.

The Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills remain tied for second on the board at 10-1. There are 16 teams -- half the league -- with odds of 25-1 or shorter to win Super Bowl LXI.
