Walmart's gift card offer; too good to be true

An online deal offered by Walmart that seemed too good to be true, was. The Walmart website was offering $100 gift cards for just $10.

The site lit up as consumers snapped up the bargains, but Walmart later said it was a pricing mistake, and it would not honor those gift cards.

Walmart apologized and promised full refunds, plus a $10 gift card for customers who bought the cards.

By law the retailer is not obligated to honor a price offered by mistake.
