SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The Presidio Parkway project has greatly improved the commute for drivers to and from Marin County, but a new question was raised: Do we call it Presidio Parkway or Doyle Drive?

The project spokeswoman said Presidio Parkway is the name of the billion dollar re-design project, but the street itself will retain the name Doyle Drive. Frank Doyle was a Santa Rosa banker who raised money to build the Golden Gate Bridge.

To change the name would require an act of the California State Legislature as it did for the Willie Brown Bridge or the Robin Williams Tunnel.
