PENNGROVE, Calif. (KGO) -- Firefighters in Sonoma County freed a cellular tower technician after he got tangled in safety equipment along Old Redwood Highway in Penngrove.

It appears the man fell about ten feet, as he moved from a pole to a catwalk about 50 feet above the ground. The man's safety harness kept him from plunging all the way to the ground.

Co-workers say the man dangled for about an hour before firefighters lowered him to the ground. The man wasn't hurt.
