Elephant rescues man pretending to drown
When a man in Thailand pretended to drown, a baby elephant jumped to the rescue.

THAILAND (KGO) -- Elephants never forget and it appears they are also very smart creatures.

Video released by the founder of an elephant foundation in Thailand shows just how loving and brave they are.

The man staged a mock rescue where he called for help as he pretended to be drowning.

Then, a baby elephant named Kham Lha braves the river waters to save her friend. Kham even sheltered him with her trunk.

Kham lives in a habitat with more than 70 other rescued elephants.
