The new season of "The Bachelorette" begins Monday night with two ladies looking for love and one of the contestants is from the Bay Area.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- The new season of "The Bachelorette" premieres on Monday night. Or should we say "The Bachelorettes."

This season will star not one, but two women! Britt and Kaitlyn were both passed over by "Prince Farming" Chris on "The Bachelor."

Here's the twist --- it will be up to the 25 men to decide which of the women is going to be "The Bachelorette."

The women are playing down complaints about the format.

"I didn't see it as being sexist or any of these things people are saying," said Britt. "To me, it just felt like they really couldn't decide, so they're giving the guys a chance to decide.""

Kaitlyn added, "I wouldn't have done it if i thought it was degrading and sexist."

Ben Z. of San Jose is one of those suitors, looking for love. The 26-year-old is a fitness coach.

The two-hour premiere airs at 9 p.m. on ABC7.
