Takeaway of the Day
We have enjoyed bright, sunny skies and mild to warm weather on this Pride Sunday in the Bay Area. Afternoon highs ranged from mid-60s at the coast to upper 70s near the bay to mid-80s inland. Onshore winds are increasing as we head into the evening hours, with occasional gusts ranging from 20 to 30 miles per hour, but wind speeds will diminish later tonight. Skies will be mostly clear overnight in the North Bay and inland East Bay, but a few areas of low clouds will develop along the Peninsula coast and into the South Bay.
A Look Ahead
Tomorrow will be mostly sunny and mild-to-warm across the entire Bay Area. Afternoon highs will be in the mid-60s at the coast, near 80 around the bay, and upper 80s inland. A gradual cooling trend will begin on Tuesday and continue through Thursday. Another warming trend will begin on Friday, followed by a sunny and mild-to-warm 4th of July weekend.
An important note to remember is that we will experience rough surf into Wednesday morning.
A BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT will remain in effect until 5 a.m. Wednesday, and there is an increased risk of dangerous rip currents and sneaker waves. If you are on the coastline, never turn your back to the ocean during these times of rough surf.
