Takeaway of the Day
It was a few degrees cooler today, but a moderate heat risk continues through the early evening for the interior. Overnight lows will drop into the 50s and 60s for the Bay Area. Higher-than-usual tides are expected to cause minor coastal flooding across the region tonight.
A Look Ahead
Temperatures will continue to drop throughout the weekend and return to normal by next week. A BEACH HAZARD STATEMENT will go into effect early Sunday morning due to an increased risk of rip currents and sneaker waves.
Minor coastal flooding is also possible this weekend across the region due to higher-than-normal tides. Cloudy conditions return to the coast during the morning hours next week.
