AccuWeather Forecast: Foggy overnight, smoke from Timber Fire moves into parts of Bay Area

This week's cooling trend continued today, as the marine layer lingered this morning near the coast and bay, but sunny skies prevailed away from the coast during the afternoon.

High temperatures ranged from lower 60s at the coast to mid-70s near the bay to mid-80s inland.

The marine layer will deepen and expand again tonight, bringing patchy drizzle to the coast, which may result in a few wet spots for morning commuters.

A Look Ahead
Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy at the coast because of the deep marine layer, and patchy drizzle is likely near the coast in the early morning hours.

We can expect hazy sunshine by midday over the bay and inland because of smoke moving up from the Timber Fire in Monterey County.

High temperatures tomorrow will be in the mid-60s at the coast, mid-70s near the bay, and mid-80s inland.

Our current cooling trend will continue through the weekend, as no excessive heat is likely in the Bay Area for at least the next 7 to 10 days.
