OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- All lanes of the Bay Bridge toll plaza reopened Saturday night after a crash took the life of a toll booth attendant earlier in the morning.

A man in his 30's is under arrest for driving under the influence and manslaughter after the crash that killed a toll booth attendant at the Bay Bridge toll plaza Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Governor Brown released a statement identifying the victim killed in an early morning crash at the Bay Bridge toll plaza.

The statement reads: "Anne and I are deeply saddened to learn of the loss of Caltrans Toll Collector Si Si Han, who died today while serving the traveling public. On behalf of all Californians, we extend our condolences to her family, co-workers, and friends."

A toll booth worker was killed and another person badly injured when a westbound box truck smashed into a toll booth on the Oakland side of the Bay Bridge early this morning, the California Highway Patrol said.

Capitol Corridor bus service between Emeryville and San Francisco was on hold, the agency said on social media Saturday morning. The agency advised people to transfer to BART at the Richmond station for travel to and from San Francisco.

AC Transit was operating two lines, the F and O lines, across the Bay Bridge, according to agency spokesman Robert Lyles.

"The lane closure has not created any reroutes for either line. We have slight delays but no outstanding issues at this time," Lyles said in an email.

The northbound Interstate Highway 880 to westbound Interstate Highway 80 connector was closed, as well as two westbound lanes of Interstate Highway 80, according to Officer Vu Williams of the CHP.

Around 5:10 a.m., a line of vehicles were waiting at the toll booth, and the box truck hit the last vehicle in line, causing a chain reaction, Williams said.

The truck continued westbound and hit the toll booth, the spokesman said. The driver of the truck was hurled from the vehicle onto the road, suffering major injuries, according to Williams.

The driver has been taken to the hospital, Williams said.
