SONOMA COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- 7 On Your Side has been investigating a mortgage fraud case in Sonoma County for two years.
ABC7 News has learned Miguel Angel Lopez of Petaluma has now been arrested and faces 95 criminal charges, ranging from mortgage fraud, to grand theft, and financial crimes against the elderly.
Lopez appeared in Sonoma County Court Wednesday afternoon after his arrest, spear-headed by the California Department of Justice.
One victim, who was in the courtroom, says Lopez appeared stone-faced in a blue prison jump suit.
He was released on bail and could face up to 84 years in prison.
