Health officials have confirmed a Santa Clara County resident has contracted the Zika virus while traveling abroad.

Health officials say there's no risk of it spreading locally.

The virus is mostly spread from a mosquito species not common in the United States.

Zika can cause birth defects. The White house held a summit today on how to fight it.
