LAKE COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- Crews spent Tuesday evening setting backfires on Cobb Mountain to try to stop the spread of the Valley Fire. The cool temperatures, combined with little to no wind, made it possible for firefighters to conduct the controlled burns.
Just down the way, investigators went to the property on High Valley Road where they believe the Valley Fire may have started. They paid close attention to a shed where flames burned fast up the hill behind it Saturday afternoon.
