Pacifica firefighters quickly extinguish 1-acre grass fire

PACIFICA, Calif. -- Firefighters quickly extinguished a one-acre grass fire in Pacifica this afternoon, a deputy fire chief said.

The fire in the area of 1240 Terra Nova Blvd. was reported at 3:06 p.m., North County Fire Authority Deputy Chief Frank Panacci said.

Six homes were threatened, but not damaged.

A two-alarm response was called and Cal Fire crews assisted in controlling the fire, Panacci said.
