The San Francisco Police Commission met Wednesday to once again try to figure out whether the city officers should be armed with tasers. The issue has been fraught with controversy.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The San Francisco Police Commission met Wednesday to once again try to figure out whether the city officers should be armed with tasers. The issue has been fraught with controversy.

The SFPD is the last major police department in the country that doesn't use tasers in large part due to strong community opposition, but now federal recommendations may finally give what the department has long wanted.
